I love this site, but these doomsday predictions concern me. We could all die tomorrow - and what can we really do about it? Not much Most of the evidence thus far does NOT support a doomsday event in 2012. Hell, we just transited between three large interstellar clouds, did anyone notice (except for us science nerds)?
I believe emergency preparedness is VERY important, but we should be more concerned with what lies ahead in the near future (dramatic weather changes, global tensions, technological issues).
Just live every day like it was your last. Prepare for the worst, but hope for the best. Live with your head held high. Do the right thing. Help people. Be kind.
The only thing we truly have control over is our own free will. So relax! Enjoy life! Enjoy your family/friends, eat a good meal, get drunk and party!
iv been researching all this for a while now trying to find an answer of somesort but it seems there are so many theories on whats gonna happen. im so frightened that it is gonna be the end, i have a beautiful daughter and the thought of not being able to protect her is killing me. if we are gonna die the government aint gonna let us know there gonna take a select few into there underground cities and let the rest of us rot. one thort though is, can this planet/brown dwarf/dead star be destroyed??
No. There is absolutely no scieentific evidence that this could or will happen.
There is an asteroid not a planet that will be close to earth in 2012. It is possible that this asteroid could hit earth.
This doomsday asteroid is going to be in 2029 April 13.. its name is Apophis and its 1000ft in diameter, it will be so close that it will go beneath our communication satellites, we will be able to see it in the night sky if you are in the right hemisphere! There is a gap that the asteroid might go through and it will come back in 2036 and strike us…
