Huge Solar Storm Triggers Unusual Auroras
The recent increase of solar activity also has its beautiful sides. All over our planet, observers have been witnessing the results of the magnetic storms in form of unusual lights covering the northern hemisphere and mainly focused on the North Pole. The current solar storms are by far the largest we have witnessed in quite some time, yet it is expected that these are still very small compared to what is to follow in the near future, ramping up to what NASA announces as the largest ones end of 2012, beginning of 2013.
These images were taken in Quebec, Canada over the past few days:

This is Gerard Le Flamand and I dedicated this blog to prepare for the disastrous events to happen in 2012.

A new web site has been set up by the Canadian Space Agency in Yellowknife, NWT to monitor live the aurora.
Camera works only at Canadian night time. Link: http://www.asc-csa.gc.ca/eng/astronomy/auroramax/default.asp
Enjoy the Canadian northern lights!
i was on the way back home to wales/powys/UK.
yesterday 1/9/10. when my wife and i saw what can only be described as a bright multi coloured curtain to the right of the sun,it took a few minuets to realise that we were looking at part of the aurora borialis,??? but this far south,?.
now we are getting worried, as for sure, each day that passes this site has hit the mother lode concerning polar storm prediction.
GOD HELP US ALL IF HE CAN
keep up the good work and god bless
