Seismic Activity

Is it just me or is our planet accelerating change with the very recent earthquakes around the globe? As I am not a scientist by any means, I cannot conclude it is, but then again, our scientists seem to be not much wiser when it comes to ‘knowing’ what is heading our way. Hence the 180 degree turns in opinions and predictions at NASA for example… 299 earthquakes were registered this week only!

Either way, we cannot ignore the massive violence earth is causing by trembling the dirt we love so dearly. There was the disastrous event recently in Haiti, the devastating effect that took so many lives. Then there were earthquakes in Japan, Tonga Area, Iran, Chili…

USGS.gov monitors all earthquakes daily and these are a few snapshots of serious earthquakes over the past few days:

Recent Earthquakes

The most serious one this week was in Chili:

Japan got hit off its coast the day before:

Iran had one the day before:

And one more out of the neverending list of earthquakes we are plagued with lately is in the Tonga area:

Tonga Earthquake

Has anyone seen any other abnormalities lately? What is happening to our 4 seasons? Seems that we are heading for long summers and long winters…let alone no more spring nor fall. This is an indication of an upcoming ice age…or is that pure speculation? Fact is that our climates are dramatically changing. Hotter summers and colder winters, often with abnormal amounts of precipitation resulting in disastrous floods, landslides and snow. The news doesn’t report much correlation with our recently very active sun which may very well be at the cause of the violent changes on earth. The BIG question remains: is this a precursor the announced world events in 2012?
