Will the world end in 2012? Why 2012?
There have been a lot of people talking about the end of the world in December 2012. Will the world end in 2012? No, probably it won’t. Will there be a global catastrophe in 2012? That is very possible.
In fact, 2012 is the only date that has several prophecies surrounding it. This is important; there is a very little chance that so many cultures, from different areas of the world and different times in history, would name the same date for “major cataclysm “. I present some of this theories and prophecies here, not as certainties, but as possibilities worth considering.
Mayan Calendar
The Mayan civilization had incredibly skilled mathematicians and astronomers for that time. They used many different calendars and viewed time as a meshing of spiritual cycles (Tzolk’in calendar included 260 days, Haab’ approximated the solar year of 365 days, they also used Venus Cycle and Moon cycle for different purposes). The Mayan Prophecy is wholly based on the assumption that the last day of Mayan Long Count calendar going to be the last day of this world. When is the end of the calendar? The Mayan Long Count ends on December 21st, 2012.

Polar Shift
Latest scientific researches tell all about a Polar Shift in between 2007 – 2012. One of prophecies of Nostradamus talks about Polar Shifts as well.

Galactic Alignment
Very soon will get to see what nobody else has seen in almost 26000 years. December 21, 2012 is a date when our sun, earth, and the exact center of the Milky Way galaxy will be perfectly in one line.
Timewave Zero
After calculating a mathematical algorithm from the I Ching (book of change) a wave form was developed. Very much like the Mayan Calendar this wave form indicates the patterns of human behavior. When the wave falls there is a major war, when it raises a new culture is born. This wave form also mysteriously ends on December 21, 2012.
The prediction of Saint Malachy
In 1139 AD Saint Malachy, on his way to Rome, went into an ecstatic trance. In this trance he listed 112 popes that would resign before the end of the church and the end of times. Pope Benedict XVI is number 111. This list has been accurate.
So, all of these prophecies pointing to the same date, what does your intuition tell you next?

This is Gerard Le Flamand and I dedicated this blog to prepare for the disastrous events to happen in 2012.

21st December 2012 Winter solstice 2012 will mark the end of the Mayan calendar and the end of history according to the Chinese ‘I Ching’ (Book Of Changes). The earth will be in perfect alignment with the sun and the centre of our milky way for the first time in 25800 years. (http://whywilltheworldendin2012.blogspot.com/)
If you read the bible Matthew 24:36 talks about the event, but even Jesus doesn’t know when the event will come, so doubt its going to be specifically 21/Dec/2012 because no one is supposed to know the date according to religions!
Sometimes, people think in 2012, the world ends and we find ourselves surrounded in blackness not knowing which way to go.
Then like peeling an orange skin, layers of the earth fly apart and getting so far away they sadly faded away in the darkness.
A spit second later, they explode with the force of 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 atomic bombs. You get vaporized, then they appear to split into six smaller pieces each. And they again sadly fade away
and get lost in space. But it’s not true.
The world won’t end in 2012. Besides, the Long Count ends in Dec. 21, every year, but that has nothing to do with the long count. The Mayan’s book ends in Dec. 21st as the celestial crocodile has the rain, then of course the end of earth. That’s just not true. Second, it’s a CC calendar, not a maya calendar. Third. It’s just hundreds of faces put together to make a calendar. That’s A JOKE! Fourth. The Mayans did NOT predict 12/21/12 to be the end of the world. That’s just the end of the Long count.
Fifth. The long count has MORE calendars after it leading to 640,000 years later from Dec, 21, 2012. So the Long Count is the center of the Mayan Calendar.
Sixth. The Hindu Calendar and the lunar cycle has nothing to do with the Long Count.
Seventh. The PERFECT alignment happened in 1998, which is probably why they made Deep Impact and Armageddon films. Eighth. Planet X does Not have to end life ’cause there IS no Planet X. Ninth. The Yellowstone Supervolcano is all of Yellowstone Park. But it will only cover PART of the U.S. as it did 640,000 years ago. Tenth. Pole shifts just rock Earth. But it wouldn’t cause immediate devestation or destruction. Eleventh. We have all seen earthquakes causing tsunamis. The most recent one occured in Indonesia in 2004. But tsunamis don’t really trigger earthquakes which means 2012 is invalid. Finnaly, twefth. It will not mean if the world will end again in 2013. It depends if the world will end in 2012 every year. But why?
Nobody knows. Besides, you could just dig a hole and die. Also, it turns out that it’s just embarrasing
that I will still live in 2012. But pretty nice article.
@Devil Rotondo.: Simple Statistic,
How many civilizations there are in the past and present?
How many religious group both present and past?
Now how many civilizations & how many religious groups predict the end of the world?
Hehehehe. Not a very good convincing statistical data, right?
Now here is the thing, 5,125 Mayan yrs cycle. Mayan didn’t say anything about end of the world but said it’s the end of the yrs cycle. It’s just like the 24 hrs cycle in a day. 364 days in a year and so on. It has to end somehow but it will start again without “THE END OF THE WORLD” stuff or alike.
And hopefully I’m right.
Miss Finigude, I am sorry to rain your party in turn, but the calendar is, in fact, a mayan calendar. Not aztec. MAYAN. A vast number of sources support that statement, and where you got your invalid statement from is beyond me. Second, do you have proofs that the Long Count does not coincide with the end of the world? Because I have proofs that it does.
For example, one of the Ancient Mayan Scripts actually reads: “On that day when Xbalanque stands between the land of his birth and the Eye, Xibalba shall once again rise, now called Earth. Hun-Came and Vucub-Came shall rule over Xibalba, and it will be a long time before the four gods of Creation will create a new world, and Xibalba will perish.”
Xbalanque is a reference to the sun, the Eye, to the center of the Galaxy and Xbalanque’s land of birth is the earth. When all three are aligned, Xibalba will take over the world – obviously a reference to the world becoming the Underworld, in other words the end of the world.
Third, no one says that the lunar calendar has anything to do with the Long Count.
Fourth, see point two.
Fifth, we already know that the sun, earth and center of galaxy will align, and once again check point two.
Sixth, check point two.
Seventh, this is not conning, but rather cunning
no, but in all seriousness, there is a lot of proofs, and I (i mentioned it countless times before) am a mad scientist and have researched a lot about the subject. I have communicated with aliens, and found lost archives in the lost city of Atlantis, etc.
If you don’t believe me, well too bad, you’re a non-believer and the Aliens will leave you to die on that fateful day. At least I’m not like you!!
Sorry to rain on your parade, but that’s an AZTEC calendar. Not a Maya calendar. AZTEC. Second, the Long Count does not coincide with the end of the world. Third. Lunations had nothing to do with the duration of the long count. Fourth. The long count RESTARTS on Dec. 21. Fifth. Due to uncertainty about the Julian calendar, the long count may not restart for another 500 years. Sixth. There is no ‘Mayan Prophecy’ Seventh, you need to find some other way to con the mindless mass that is America besides manipulating the culture and history of one of Mesoamerica’s greatest cultures, and go find some hole to crawl into and die.
Wonderful article. I been looking for one on a similar note. I guess you always have something up your sleeve.
Well, to soon to say if it’s good, but at least it’s well designed.
I mean I thought I would be blocked after adding some interests, but the site helps you to add more.
