Solar Maximum 2012 Archives

November 2, 2009, will be a red-letter day for the Belgian space industry and space sciences. A rocket containing PROBA2 will be fired off at 02:50 Belgian time from a Russian launch base in Plesetsk. PROBA2 will be the first ESA space weather mission dedicated to observing the Sun. Another important item: the satellite was built in Belgium.

proba2_2012_sun_activity.gifThe PROBA2 satellite is small, but is stuffed with brand new technologies that will be tested in space during real flight operations. It is what we call a technological demonstration mission. The fact that
PROBA2 is small and inexpensive for a space mission gives small companies and scientific institutes the opportunity to build up experience working on space hardware. It also opens the door for creativity. PROBA2 will be launched together with another satellite in a former intercontinental ballistic missile. The rockets have been repurposed for peaceful use as Rockot satellite carriers. Read the rest of this entry

2012 – Patrick Geryl New Exclusive Interview

Patrick Geryl2012 researcher and author Patrick Geryl, inspiration for many writers and likely also for the upcoming movie “2012″ (release date November 2009), explains his 2012 theory in this exclusive 1.5 hour interview. Watch this revealing and clarifying video to learn what is to happen in only 3 years from now!

If you want to understand how his theory fits with the predictions of the Maya and the Egyptians, the Egyptian Labyrinth in Hawara, the solar activity and the so-called Global Warming, his viewpoints on aliens, High Societies, the World Cataclysm, and how to survive 2012, watch this interview now.

Sony to release warm-up to 2012 movie

2012 MovieOctober will be the month prior to the release of the blockbuster movie ’2012′ which is the highly anticipated story of how the world will end in about 3 years. The story of the movie seems to be based on the work of Patrick Geryl who has written several books resulting from his many years of research on the topic (see http://store.2012pro.com/ebooks.htm).
Sony has planned an epic effort to alert audiences that its disaster pic “2012″ is coming, readying the largest marketing “roadblock” ever for a movie in the form of a two-minute sequence from the actioner that will air simultaneously on 450 TV outlets in North America on October 1st.

The stunt will put the footage in front of 90% of all households watching ad-supported TV, or nearly 110 million viewers. When combined with online and mobile streams, that could increase to more than 140 million.

Risk of a new Carrington event is REAL!

Carrington sun flareIn his quest to expose the truth and reality of what is going on in this world, uncover cover ups, the facts and sometime non-communication of events, Rick McLastname interviewed Canadian Mr. Manuel of CSA on August 11, 2009.

Many theories exist, including conspiracies and media manipulation. Having initiatives such as McLastname’s do help us to see the trees through the forest. We attempt to bring as much straight forward and honest information as possible the moment we learn about and were able to verify our sources.

NASAOne of NASA’s flagship projects in cooperation with ESA is called SOHO, which stands for Solar and Heliospheric Observatory. NASA, being a US government agency, reports through SOHO observations on the behavior of the Sun amongst other things. Since recently the solar activity has intensified significantly after a long period of low to very low activity without solar flares. LASCO 1 and 2 are telescopes recording those events on the Sun which then impact Earth directly through magnetic storms and other means. On July 18, 2009 excessive activity took place with some of the largest solar flares measured in recent days and months. Strangely enough, SOHO’s lacking to report just on this day, raises more than a few questions. This is where researchers such as Rick McLastname dig in and get to the bottom of the anomalies.

Here you find the search page on the SOHO site that usually shows the daily observations, yet not on July 18, 2009… http://sohodata.nascom.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/data_query: Read the rest of this entry

Magnetic field, Solar Cycle and Human Safety

2012_Magnetic_field__Solar_Cycle_and_Human_Safety.jpgScientists have found two large leaks in Earth’s magnetosphere, the region around our planet that shields us from severe solar storms.
The leaks are defying many of scientists’ previous ideas on how the interaction between Earth’s magnetosphere and solar wind occurs: The leaks are in an unexpected location, let in solar particles in faster than expected and the whole interaction works in a manner that is completely the opposite of what scientists had thought.
The findings have implications for how solar storms affect our planet. Serious storms, which involved charged particles spewing from the sun, can disable satellites and even disrupt power grids on Earth.

Normal Condition: Earth’s magnetic field deflects the charged particles streaming out from the sun

Solar Bombardment 2012Decreased solar wind and/or heliospheric magnetic reconnection over the 3 year solar minimum has weakened our magnetosphere – the protective “shield” around our fragile ecosystem. After two years of a very quiet solar minimum, our sleepy sun has stopped hitting the snooze button and is showing signs of switching into 2nd gear. This past weekend the solar activity increased after  its period of rest and resulted in large stream of magnetic and charged particles reaching Earth and impacting it.

Rick McLastname (find him on Facebook.com) reported on Wednesday July 22, 2009 the following:

LASCOThe Solar Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) confirms that on July 6, 2009, a very large Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) was emitted by the sun. This was followed by what appears to be a smaller CME being emitted by a solar flare on the morning of July 7, and another large CME emitted on July 8. The CMEs are partial confirmation for a coded prediction found in a crop circle discovered in Milk Hill England that evolved in three stages from June 21 to 30.

The CMEs were captured by the SOHO satellite which is one million miles away from the Earth in the direction of the sun. Located in a stationary equilibrium point between the gravity of the sun and the Earth called a Lagrangian point, SOHO has a number of scientific instruments to monitor the sun’s behavior. The CMEs do not appear to be part of a series headed towards the Earth as initial interpretations of the coded crop circle message suggested. The emergence of the CMEs is, however, a remarkable development since it came right on the July 6/7 lunar eclipse prediction date.

NASA predicts a Super Solar Storm in 2012

A lot has been spoken about the year of 2012. What is going to happen in 2012 according to NASA

NASA is warning the world about a major event that is going to take place in 2012.  2012 seems like a very important year in the history of the Earth.  There is a connection between the 11-year solar cycle and the time cycles seen in the Mayan calendar. Plus, religious texts (such as the Bible) say that we are due for a day of judgment, involving a lot of fire and brimstone. And now NASA is saying that a Super Solar storm can possibly effect life on Earth in such away it may even wipe it out life as we know it.   Watch the video yourself!

Michio Kaku a well known astrophysicist speaks in depth about the devastation this event may cause.

Will the world end in 2012? Why 2012?

Solar Maximum and The End of the World

2012_Sun_explosion.jpgLike most of the various ways the world is going to end in 2012, the possibility of the Sun blasting out is huge. There is a connection between the 11-year solar cycle and the time cycles seen in the Mayan calendar. Plus, religious texts (such as the Bible) say that we are due for a day of judgment, involving a lot of fire and brimstone.
What are the chances to get roasted alive by the sun on December 2012?
Solar physicist David Hathaway of the Marshall Space Flight Center prognoses that peak of the most intense solar cycle in the last 50 years is going to be in 2010 or 2012. The peak of the sun 11-year cycle, called “solar maximum“, so we can expect even more solar activity in the next few years.
According to American Geophysical Union, the next Solar Maximum should to peak around 2010 with a sunspot number of 160 plus or minus 25. This would make it one of the strongest solar cycles of the past fifty years—which is to say, one of the strongest in recorded history.
