Earlier this month lavanguardia.es, a Spanish news site, reported on 2012 and how the Spaniards are preparing in several parts of Spain. I have freely translated the article into English yet have kept the article for those of you who prefer to read the Spanish version.

How is it that so many people were taken by surprise with the current global economic meltdown? Besides apparent signs, this fatal collapse was also predicted by some authors like Patrick Geryl did in his book published in 1999 “The World Cataclysm in 2012“.

The most popular subject on our blog has been for a while How To Build A Bunker. With many thousands of hits on this subject coming from Google and other search engines, I thought it would make sense to add an entry here that would address the curiosity and feed the knowledge in this area.
As we all know or at least can imagine, building a bunker can get very expensive and is not for the average person’s budget. But this doesn’t mean you cannot build your own strong enough to resist major catastrophes and obviously those of a smaller scale. Read all about it in the ALL NEW “How To Build A Survival Bunker“.

If your area is hit by a natural disaster, such as an earthquake or megatsunami, access to food can shut down fast. You will find yourself quickly without food (and without drinking water, depending on the severity of the disaster). Many experts recommend having a backup supply of food and water that will support you and your family for up to 90 days.
If things get really chaotic in the world (like 2012 prostheses become to be reality), you may want to go for a backup that will last up to six months and more. In this day and age, stocking up on non-perishable foods, large jugs of water is probably a smart thing to do.
So, how to survive famine after 2012?

In case of nuclear fallout in your region after the global catastrophe in 2012 you should take action immediately and make a plan what you are going to do in the worst case scenario.
Take cover immediately: If you are outside a shelter during a nuclear burst, take cover in a ditch, revetted area, culvert, or a road drainage tunnel. Expedient shelters can be constructed with accessible materials in a relatively short time.
If all else fails, immediately take a prone position. Tightly cover your face with both hands. Do not move until the blast wave has passed completely. Completely means that the incident wave and any reflected blast waves must pass. Preplanning should include protective measures against thermal effects. Anything in direct line of sight to a burst may burn.
Time, distance, and shielding are your best overall protection against residual or delayed radiation hazards. Read the rest of this entry

The person who wrote this message to us did so under their own name (which we have checked), and enclosed a number of photographs of them with the Prime Minister of Norway and (separately) with Benazir Bhutto. We are certain of their bona fides, but you will understand that we cannot reveal their real name or publish any photos without consent.
The content of this message, if true, could hardly be more important.
[Edited for grammar and spelling errors where needed to ensure full clarity. As a preface to the message, the writer apologized for their English, which is not their language.]

I am a Norwegian politician. I would like to say that difficult things will happen from the year 2008 till the year 2012.
The Norwegian government is building more and more underground bases and bunkers. When asked, they simply say that it is for the protection of the people of Norway. When I enquire when they are due to be finished, they reply “before 2011”. Read the rest of this entry

The debate going over the true Mayan calendar “endtime” date, be it December 21, 2012 or otherwise, is irrelevant to the actual “endtime” implications. Calendar wars have existed since the days of the early Egyptians and continue to exist today between the Maya themselves, religious scholars and western mathematicians.
The key element of interest in regard to the end-date interpretation of the Mayan longcount calendar is that it converges with all the other Mayan calendars on December 21, 2012 and heralds a solstice/galactic center alignment that last took place some 13,000 odd years ago. It also is indicative of a time and space shift as we know it, as we pass through the photon belt over the galactic plane, into the galaxy’s “right” hemisphere. It additionally represents a cyclical and geologically predictable period of major Earth changes, which are already coming to pass. The Earth will not change in a flash such as on a specific date as December 12, 2012.

Scientists have found two large leaks in Earth’s magnetosphere, the region around our planet that shields us from severe solar storms.
The leaks are defying many of scientists’ previous ideas on how the interaction between Earth’s magnetosphere and solar wind occurs: The leaks are in an unexpected location, let in solar particles in faster than expected and the whole interaction works in a manner that is completely the opposite of what scientists had thought.
The findings have implications for how solar storms affect our planet. Serious storms, which involved charged particles spewing from the sun, can disable satellites and even disrupt power grids on Earth.
Normal Condition: Earth’s magnetic field deflects the charged particles streaming out from the sun
